Can charter boats use OnBuoy?

Charter vessels are welcome. Ensure your boat fits the listing’s size/depth limits and keep your profile’s My Boat details accurate for the vessel you’ll use. Preloaded fleet info streamlines booking and avoids host confusion.

Charter boat operators are welcome to explore the many benefits of joining the OnBuoy community to secure mooring for their vessels.

Members of charter and boat share groups can easily select their vessel from a list of all vessels and charter companies in the My Boat section of their profile. Details for each vessel in a charter group's fleet are pre-loaded, so you don't have to manually edit each time you book an OnBuoy stay.

There are a couple of key things to keep in mind to ensure a seamless experience. First and foremost, the size of your charter boat must fall within the limitations specified for each individual moorage. OnBuoy makes this easy - every moorage description page clearly lists the capacity limits for each, allowing you to quickly identify suitable options for your vessel.

The second point to consider is keeping your OnBuoy profile up-to-date with the details of the vessel you will be using for that particular visit. This ensures a smooth reservation process and avoids confusing hosts who may be expecting a different vessel for that visit. By including accurate information about your charter vessel in your profile, hosts can easily verify compatibility between their moorage and your boat.

Updating your vessel details is a simple process - just visit the "My Boat" section on the OnBuoy website.
