What if the details in the listing do not match the actual moorage?

Cosmetic or weather‑related differences aren’t refundable. Structural or safety issues (damaged gear, insufficient depth) are. Document the problem, message the host via Inbox, and contact OnBuoy for a refund or help finding alternatives.

It depends on the discrepancy. Cosmetic discrepancies that do not affect the ability to moor at the location - like dirty or encrusted equipment or poor views or sightlines compared to the photos on the listing - are not a cause for a refund. Weather-related issues are also beyond the control of the host, so they also are not a valid cause for refund.

Structural discrepancies – like damaged or unusable equipment or shallower water depth at the location – that affect the safety or utility of the moorage are a valid cause for concern, however. If you encounter a safety or utility-related discrepancy during your stay, OnBuoy will help find you an alternative moorage or will refund the cost of your reservation.

Follow the instructions in the article titled "[What should I do if the mooring equipment is damaged when I arrive?](What should I do if the mooring equipment is damaged when I arrive?)" to report the discrepancy to the owner and to OnBuoy so we can help you find alternative moorage and follow-up with the owner on the issue.
